This course will help you learn how to evaluate technology from an industry perspective, analyzing how it addresses unmet needs, identifying product opportunities, and recommending the best path to market. You will work with real technology based on research at U-M, including projects related to wireless power transfer, air purification, and modular nuclear reactors.
You do not need a technical background to enroll in this course – you just need to be interested in the impact of technology on the world today. The skills taught in this class can be applied to corporate innovation, working at high-tech startups, and the evaluation of business opportunities at large.
