DELVE INTO CRUCIAL ISSUES IMPACTING OUR PLANET

In PJTL Climate Change, you’ll be right in the thick of it, tackling real-world challenges through hands-on projects with cutting-edge companies. You won’t just be flipping through textbooks – you’ll be tackling real company challenges through exciting projects while gaining first-hand entrepreneurial insight. We’ll turn the Carbontech world into your classroom. This isn’t your average opportunity; it’s a front-row seat to making a real impact on our planet.

REQUIRED entr course

This program is a year-long commitment (winter & fall semesters)

To participate in the Perot Jain TechLab Climate Change, students must take ENTR 475.200 in the winter and ENTR 485.200 in the fall. Student teams explore real projects alongside innovative startup companies in the carbon-tech industry. This is a 2-semester course.

Overview

Students will engage in project definition and initiate their research. Additionally, you will learn the essential aspects of entrepreneurship, including fixed class time and independent teamwork.

Semester 1 combines in-class participation with mentorship-based company projects outside the classroom.

Semester 2 requires independent study and scheduled team meetings with course faculty and project mentors.

MENTORING

Students are paired with experienced mentors from the carbon tech industry. 

As part of this mentoring, you will be assigned a collaborative open-ended project.

Program Goal

To provide an immersive learning experience by collaborating with companies to deploy and develop their cutting-edge advancements. Educate students through immersive projects that address significant company challenges. Students gain firsthand knowledge of the entrepreneurial process by using the company as a real-life case study.
