Intro to Venture Capital
Successful entrepreneurship and early-stage venture capital appear to require a mixture of four very different traits and abilities: innovation/vision, evaluation, operation/management, and dedication. This short course dives deep into these four pillars of success for the next generation of entrepreneurs and venture capitalists. You will work in teams to develop deliverables and collaborate in simulations to develop the skills needed to evaluate opportunities, perform due diligence, and make investment decisions. Whether you are a venture capitalist, entrepreneur, or corporate employee, learning the investor mindset will enable you to evaluate the your own ideas and those of others going forward.
*This short course will meet during the first 7 weeks of Winter term.
