What You May Have Missed This Summer
We know a lot of our students spent their summer breaks catching up with friends back home, working tirelessly at their summer job or internship, catching up on reading lists by the pool, and, let’s be honest, preparing for the upcoming school year.
With that being said, we understand if you missed some of the happenings here at the CFE during the last few months. Now we are all back in the swing of things, we thought we would catch you up on what you might have missed during the summer.
DeepMap joined TechLab at Mcity in the Winter semester of 2021 and along with DeepMap team mentors Ronghua Zhang, Marlene Wan, and Chen Chen, selected four students to join a cohort: Chunkai Yao, Rucha Apte, Pranav Chaudary, and Elton Lin. Data Science student Janpreet Singh joined the team in Fall 2021.

To achieve this you know you aren’t destined to work a normal 9 to 5, but what are the greatest and toughest aspects of being an entrepreneur?
Carmera launched in 2015, and maintains and updates high-definition (HD) and standard-definition (SD) maps using data collected from a free telematics service it provides to commercial fleet operators. Known as Change-as-a-Service, this offering is designed to detect changes in the road as well as traffic-impacting events, and can be used for a range of applications—from HD maps developed for autonomous vehicle customers like automakers, suppliers and robotaxis to SD maps used for consumer applications.
