The Perot Jain TechLab HealthTech initiative connects technically talented students with cutting-edge startups for exploratory projects aimed at making near-term impacts. Students work directly with innovations in telemedicine, mobile health, wearable devices, genomics, AI, and more. By gaining practical experience and mentorship, you’ll be prepared to jumpstart your career in the future of healthcare.

Partnered with Michigan Medicine clinicians and industry-leading startups, this program offers the chance to apply technical skills to real-world challenges. Students will explore vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystems, network with healthcare leaders, and gain valuable insights that will enhance their career trajectory. This experience provides a powerful platform to elevate students’ futures, preparing them to thrive in the health tech industry.

As part of the PJTL HealthTech community, connections will be made with a wide network of experts, mentors, innovators, and entrepreneurs. The relationships built here will shape not only careers but also the approach to healthcare innovation. This supportive environment is designed to foster collaboration and creativity, allowing for a lasting impact on the health tech space.

Beyond technical skills, students develop an entrepreneurial mindset, gaining an understanding of both the business and regulatory sides of healthcare innovation. Whether the goal is to launch a startup, work at a leading health tech company, or pursue academic research, this program equips students with the tools, knowledge, and connections to succeed.

At PJTL HealthTech, participants are not just working on projects—they’re contributing to a global movement focused on improving healthcare outcomes. The program involves developing technologies such as AI-powered diagnostics and wearable devices that monitor patient health in real-time, directly shaping the future of healthcare delivery. The work done here will have lasting effects, both on individual careers and the broader healthcare landscape.

We look forward to welcoming our student cohort as they join the launch of PJTL HealthTech in the Winter 2025 semester.
