It’s a new year, and a new year lends itself to a new start and a marker for change. While we don’t all make resolutions, most of us look toward the new year with some type of goal or vision.
With this in mind, we at the CFE compiled a list of seven habits many successful entrepreneurs have in common that you can develop throughout the year.
Failure is Part of the Journey. Failing is part of pushing yourself harder. Entrepreneurs don’t see failure, they see a failed attempt. Each failed attempt puts them closer to success.
Set and Keep a Routine. Sticking to a routine can help you to feel more focused, can lessen anxiety about that next big project, and can make coping with change more manageable.
Get out of the Comfort Zone. Taking risks isn’t just good advice for startups or founders, it is something anyone can do on a day to day basis. It is easy to get stuck in a rut unless you take some risks or think creatively.
Take Notes. Entrepreneurs, just like students, have very full lives. Note taking allows for creative multitasking without letting the work at hand get scattered.
Ask Lots of Questions. Asking questions allows entrepreneurs to steer conversations to what is the most useful for them. Being naturally curious about how others think and how things work
Network, Network, Network. There is never a wrong time to make a connection and you never know where your next partnership will be formed or who in the crowd can help you grow professionally.
Always Persevere. Overcoming obstacles and refusing to quit when life throws you a curveball is key to achieving your goals. It is important not to let that mistake or unforeseen circumstance derail what you would like to achieve.
We hope these habits can help guide you in all of your endeavors in 2022 and all of us at the CFE with you a happy and successful New Year.
