Presenting David Tarver, a dynamic lecturer at the University of Michigan College of Engineering’s Center for Entrepreneurship and the founder and president of the Urban Entrepreneurship Initiative. He began his career at AT&T Bell Laboratories and later started Telecom Analysis Systems. He served as Group President for Spirent PLC, building a telecommunications business worth over $2 billion. Shifting his focus to community service, he founded the Red Bank Education and Development Initiative. David has served on various civic and nonprofit boards and endowed a scholarship fund at the University of Michigan. He is involved in investing in startups, advising entrepreneurs, and speaking about entrepreneurship. He published a memoir called Proving Ground in 2012, chronicling his entrepreneurial journey to international success.
