Title: A thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem. Opener: Though the 2020-2021 Academic Year was a tough one, the undergraduate entrepreneurial ecosystem at U-M continued to grow and expand. Subheading: Fruitful Collaborations. The number of partners for undergraduate programs collaborating across campus has grown to 9. Center for socially engaged design, Center for Entrepreneurship, Zell Lurie Institute, OptiMize, Excel lab and career center, School of Information, School of education center for education and design, evaluation, and research, entrepreneurship minor, and Detroit neighborhood entrepreneurs project. 4,614 Students, 15% of UG student body enrolled in 127 E&I courses. 119 Majors represented out of U-M’s 281. 594 Students enrolled in Entrepreneurship Minor. Subheading: Ideas Taking Root. Instructors with experience in the startup and venture capital world give students practical advice with real-world examples they can learn from. 99 faculty from 50 departments across Ann Arbor campus. 40% of instructors have run or founded a business. 314 Ventures, startups launched by UG in the past 5 years (2016-2020). $91,161,824 funds raised by UG students in the past 5 years (2016-2020). Subheading: Seeds of Inspiration. It has been a challenging, successful, and rewarding year.
