Join us Friday, April 7 at 12:30 pm in Stamps Auditorium on North Campus for The Startup Finale.

ALL students, faculty, staff and community are welcome! Not only does it “boost” the teams to get audience support during the competition, but the audience and guest judges will also get to cast their vote for the winner. These votes, in combination with the YouTube “Like” responses, will be used to determine this year’s winner of The Startup. Besides being crowned The Startup ‘17 and bragging rights, there is a winner take all grand prize of $15,000!

NOTE: If you are NOT enrolled in Entrepreneurship Hour (ENTR 407) and are attending as a guest, please use the black stairs located in the Stamps Auditorium Lobby to enter the auditorium via the second level.

Students enrolled in the class must enter through either side door to the auditorium on the main level to capture attendance.

The Final 4 Ventures:

Kulisha: Kulisha is a for profit biotechnology company that is developing a proprietary system that enables wastewater treatment plants to integrate black soldier fly larvae (BSFL) into the waste byproduct sludge at the end of the treatment process, removing the need for disposal, which is 15-50% of total operational costs.

Morning Brew: Morning Brew is a business news and educational content company with the purpose of connecting college students with the business world in a way that engages, educates and inspires. Currently, we provide a daily e-mail newsletter that provides 85,000 business-interested college students with a concise and conversational four-minute read about all things business.

GoLocal: GoLocal will operate through a two-sided mobile platform (app) that connects travelers with locals, who act as guides. The key differentiator is an algorithm that matches users through an assessment of travel interests and personalities. Once matched, travelers and locals can create a completely custom itinerary.

AIM Tech: AIM Tech develops high quality, affordable, user-friendly and low-power medical equipment to sustainably provide excellent medical care around the world.
