Bio: As business administrator, Cristina Jarbou oversees the general operations of the CFE and supports the center’s strategic planning. This includes facilitating all human resources procedures and growth, actively managing multiple University- and grant-funded budgets, working as the liaison between the CFE and College of Engineering administration, and fostering a positive culture for the center’s employees. In this role, Cristina has also supported operations, finance and HR for the Innovate Blue and ArtsEngin organizations. Cristina joined the University of Michigan in February 2012 and worked as a financial specialist at the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning prior to joining the CFE team.

Before moving to Ann Arbor, Cristina worked in finance and internal auditing for Shell Venezuela, S.A. and participated in the establishment of the Petroregional del Lago, S.A., a joint venture between Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. and Shell Exploration and Production Investments. She received a B.S. in accounting from Rafael Belloso Chacin University in Venezuela and a Master of Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University. Cristina is committed to the promotion of innovative business practices and collaboration as fundamentals of organizational excellence.
