Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel visited the University of Michigan to network with student entrepreneurs as part of ThinkChicago’s Roadshow, a nationwide tour to showcase career-building opportunities within the Midwest’s vibrant innovation ecosystem.

Events throughout the day included a tour of Mcity, a company showcase for students and a public forum discussing Chicago’s role as a global hub for technology, entrepreneurship and innovation moderated by U-M College of Engineering Dean Alec Gallimore.

Led by Mayor Rahm Emanuel and the ChicagoNEXT team of World Business Chicago, the ThinkChicago Roadshow connects innovative businesses with rising talent and showcases Chicago’s innovation scene. With top ranked programs in entrepreneurship, engineering and business, University of Michigan is a key source of talent in the Midwest and an important partner in strengthening the talent pipeline in the Midwest.
