Successful project managers and consultants possess the skills necessary to manage their teams, clients, activities, schedules, risks, communications and resources to produce desired outcomes. This interdisciplinary course will teach students the hands-on skills and relevant tools used in consulting and project managment, resulting in a team-based consulting project for a local startup or nonprofit. Students will be placed into small teams and will be responsible for all aspects of a consulting assignment – client relationship management, project scoping, project planning, applicable research, innovation, communications and closing.

Students with senior standing and above, from all schools/colleges, may enroll.

Credits:  3 Graded

***Attention international students on F-1 Visas: All individual course projects with external clients require the use of part-time CPT. In order to be eligible to use CPT, a student must have been lawfully enrolled on a full-time basis while physically present in the US for one academic year (i.e. two full consecutive terms). These measures are in place to protect your visa status. See the International Center’s website for more information.
