7 Week Short Course
This short course will address concerns related to patent law through the application of case law and business cases to an invention of a student’s choice. Students from across all majors will learn how to address the four concerns inventors face related to patent law including protecting inventions during product development, determining invention patentability, avoiding infringement, and leveraging a patent as a business asset. Enrolled students will also learn how to evaluate an invention in terms of existing patents and be able to evaluate the idea for infringement and for design-around considerations.
