The CFE, in collaboration with Fast Forward Medical Innovation at the U-M Medical School, has launched the House Staff Innovation & Entrepreneurship program designed for medical residents and fellows at The University. This program provides experiential learning in multidisciplinary teams, as well as teaches the tools and resources needed to identify, gather insight and implement disruptive innovations in health care.
Throughout the 34-weeks of instruction, participants will have the opportunity to explore innovation in areas of research, product development, health information technology and optimization, and healthcare operations and management under the guidance of experienced instructors from The CFE, U-M Med School, U-M Law School, U-M School of Information, U-M Tech Transfer, and other private industry mentors. This experience exposes residents and fellows to innovative strategies and perspectives that can be used throughout their career to creatively address patient needs.
The CFE’s own Jonathan Fay, Director of Commercialization Programs, is the instructor for this program which meets every Wednesday starting August 5 through April 27.
