What is your favorite experience from teaching at U-M’s Center for Entrepreneurship?
“I love seeing the students grow over the course of the semester, and truly becoming consultants and project managers through their client projects. I love it when a student that I have had in the past tells me that they used their experiences in the class to land a consulting job! I love it when the clients love what the students have done for them over the semester, and that they want to hire them!”
What does entrepreneurship mean to you?
“To me it means providing a new solution to a problem, and that someone will pay you for the value that you are able to provide.”
To what do you attribute your success? What words of wisdom do you want today’s students to walk away with?
“Communication and relationships are key to career success and happiness! It is never too early to start investing in your network and paying it forward!”

What is your favorite experience from teaching at U-M’s Center for Entrepreneurship?
“My teaching mantra is that you can’t really understand a subject until you’ve taught it. Each time I teach a subject, I approach and explain it differently based on student questions and different perspectives, and we all end up learning and growing.”
What does entrepreneurship mean to you?
“Entrepreneurship is where left-brain meets right-brain. It’s providing a vision and solution for a problem while starting and managing a business. Entrepreneurship requires creativity and technical skill, the capacity to communicate and collaborate with others, an understanding of business and legal needs, and the ability to know when to look at the big picture or delve into the minutiae.”
To what do you attribute your success? What words of wisdom do you want today’s students to walk away with?
“For things that are important to you, set your aspirations higher than what you think you can achieve. It’s easy to self-doubt or take the easy route. Find role models or mentors who you aspire to be like, and don’t be afraid to ask them questions or seek their input. Try to put yourself in a place where you act as that mentor for the next person.”

What is your favorite experience from teaching at U-M’s Center for Entrepreneurship?
“The students! I have the opportunity to interact with great young adults who are capable and enthusiastic. I learn something every semester from them.”
What does entrepreneurship mean to you?
“It means getting out there and pursuing a vision and a plan that you think will produce real benefits and results for the customers and you.”
To what do you attribute your success? What words of wisdom do you want today’s students to walk away with?
“It helps to be in contact with lots of different kinds of people, technologies and ideas. Then when an opportunity arises from that mix, you have the chance to jump in and go after it.”

What is your favorite experience from teaching at U-M’s Center for Entrepreneurship?
When students share their enthusiasm about class with their friends/family. For instance, through a dialogue with her friends about the classroom content, a student discovered a diversity video that we watched and discussed in class.
What does entrepreneurship mean to you?
Illustrating one’s ability to be a change-agent.
To what do you attribute your success? What words of wisdom do you want today’s students to walk away with?
At a young age it was expected and accepted to work harder, longer, and better in order to be successful. Words of wisdom: make your own opportunity.

Working with incredible students who motivate me each and every day…with no two days the same!
What does the word entrepreneurship mean to you?
Creative problem solving, flexibility, a readiness to pivot and expand, tenacity.
To what do you attribute your success? What words of wisdom do you want today’s students to walk away with?
Trusting instincts while being proactive and positive. Observation and reflection are also important. Talk to people: expand your network and be open to a growth mindset. Believe in what you can accomplish.
