Erin Teague, Yahoo

Bio: Immediately following the College of Engineering Alumni Awards, eHour will be hosting Erin Teague, Director of Product Management at Yahoo and U-M Engineering Alum. This eHour talk will be featured in an upcoming “A Day With” video series by VICE that will follow Erin around for a full day and be featured on VICE’s new digital channel, Broadly.

At Yahoo, Erin is responsible for the new user experience product development and management. Prior to Yahoo, Erin worked as a Product Manager at Path and Twitter where she focused on user growth, product strategy and analytics. Erin began her career at Morgan Stanley, where she designed algorithms embedded in electronic trading applications as a Software Engineer and Product Manager in the firm’s Algorithmic Trading Technology group.

In 2014, Erin was named one of Business Insider’s “Silicon Valley 100.” She was also recognized as one of “19 Extraordinary Women In Silicon Valley Tech”, one of the “46 Most Important African-Americans In Technology” and one of the “52 Hottest New Stars In Silicon Valley.”  Erin is honored to serve on the board of several Silicon Valley startups as well as the Wells Fargo Advisory Board, University of Michigan’s Computer Science and Engineering National Advisory Board, and the Code2040 Advisory Board.

Originally from Michigan, Erin holds a MBA from Harvard Business School, where she was a Morgan Stanley Fellow, and a BSE in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan, where she graduated with honors as an Intel Scholar.
