CFE Hosting Coffee Meet-ups for Alumni in Bay Area
Connections and community are a critical part of innovation…and the Center for Entrepreneurship is excited to be a catalyst! Responding to continued interest from alumnae who have participated in our regional M Engage programming over the past year, the CFE hosted our first coffee meet-up of alumnae working in/around innovation on June 24, 2015. Held at Sightglass Coffee’s flagship location in San Francisco, the goal of these meet-ups is simple: to connect alumnae leaders across sectors, functions, and university programs. And as with any good idea, we are starting small, with room to scale. We will continue to expand this group of Wolverine alumnae, providing a perpetual opportunity to connect with our innovation alumnae community; the first round of meet-ups are set for the third Wednesday of every month.
“After these initial few months of sparking introductions, we hope to outgrow not only the second floor of Sightglass Coffee, but have a large enough group to allow for topical speakers, debates, and knowledge exchange. Our alumnae are creators, makers, and leaders within the Bay Area ecosystem, and we have an exciting opportunity to be able to connect them to one another, and to create a community that they can always tap into, whether they seek talent, inspiration, mentorship, or simply a great conversation before starting their workday.” – Jessica Henry, M Engage Director
