Bio: Steve Carnevale has been a venture capitalist for twenty years at several firms including his own boutique investment firm Point Cypress Partners. He typically serves as the lead investor, and as such, is actively involved with the development of high-level strategies and day-to-day operations.
Steve has served on boards of directors or as chairman of numerous public and private companies. He is currently Chairman of Sawgrass Technologies, a leading provider of digital printing technologies pioneering mass customization.
One of his most notable investment is eFax, an Internet company that went public and was later merged with J2 Global Communications (NASDAQ: JCOM), one of the fastest growing profitable public Internet companies with a market cap of $1+ Billion.
Prior to his venture capital career, Mr. Carnevale spent twelve years in management of various industrial enterprises including AT&T, Oceaneering International and several private technology companies.
In 2015, Steve received the “Distinguished Service Award” at the College of Engineering’s Annual Alumni Awards for his work with the University of California San Francisco’s Dyslexia Center and Olympic Club Foundation, which helps disadvantaged youth in the Bay Area build life skills through sports.
